I am the Program Manager and primary contact for a Women, Infant, and Children’s (WIC) program housed inside Inland Behavioral and Health Services located in San Bernardino, CA. In addition to running the program I am actively involved with expanding the Nutrition Services Department for our clinics located in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.
One of the projects I was recently involved with was helping our agency prepare for a visit from the Joint Commission. We not only received accreditation but we were designated as a Patient Centered Medical Home/Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH).
My current projects include incorporating outpatient nutrition counseling at our 4 clinics and expanding our efforts to improve access to food via CalFresh for our client population.
In addition, I teach nutrition and health classes for 3 different schools online and am currently working on my Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) degree from A.T. Still University.
