With roots in critical care, May-Lynn Andresen spent 20+ years in a variety of leadership roles within a large integrated delivery system in NY. Her areas of focus have included quality and performance improvement, clinical research, both as an investigator and IRB Director, in addition to her clinical work and leadership across patient settings. 
Her advocacy skills and expertise in strategic planning and program development enabled Andresen to co-found and provide leadership to the North Shore-LIJ Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, a regional autism center of excellence and research, in addition to the Westbrook Preparatory School, the first and only residential school in NY State for students ages 12-21 with high functioning autism, Asperger syndrome and related conditions. 
Andresen was selected to participate as a member of the 2013 and 2014 National Quality Forum’s Readmission Action Team. She currently serves on several professional advisory boards and is enrolled in the University of Minnesota’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program in Health Innovation and Leadership, minoring in Integrative Health and Healing. Since 2012, has been Vice President of QHC Advisory Group, a healthcare consulting organization, focused on supporting organizations during this transformational time in healthcare.
