Dr. Jones received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida College of Medicine: PA Program in 2002. She practices clinically within the Department of Family and Community Medicine and provides pharmaceutical education within the Family Practice medical residency program. Dr. Jones’ educational interests involve interprofessional education within the classroom and clinical practice settings. Teaching responsibilities include areas of basic physical assessment, simulation, primary care, and communication. She serves on the University’s Center for Interprofessional Healthcare Education, Research, and Practice (CIHERP) faculty development committee and is a board member of the Salvation Army Clinic in collaboration with the College of Medicine. Her research interests include Interprofessional education and collaborative practice, innovative and sustainable models of pharmacist-delivered patient care, and issues surrounding the advancement of pharmacy practice.
