Lyubov Slashcheva is a dental resident/fellow at University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA and her DDS degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Partnering with the National Health Service Corps as a dental scholar, Lyubov is eager to gain the skill set and network necessary to effectively address the nation’s oral healthcare needs. Involvement in the Inter Health Professions Alliance at VCU provided the space and means for this kind of development to occur during her predoctoral dental training. Her current role as fellow in Geriatric & Special Needs Dentisry and resident of an MS in Dental Public Health graduate program encourages her to continue forging interprofessional collaborations as a clinician, researcher, scholar, and educator.
