Dr. Lori Lioce serves as the Executive Director of the Learning & Technology Resource Center and as a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Nursing. She graduated from The University of Alabama in Huntsville with her BSN (1998), MSN (2003), FNP Certificate in (2006) and earned her DNP from Samford University (2010). Her clinical background is concentrated in emergency medicine and her research interests include simulation education and operations, healthcare policy, advocacy and ethics.

            Dr. Lioce is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is past President of the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama and was the Alabama State Representative to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Nurse Practitioners. She also served as the Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA) Vice-President of the Board of Directors, state delegate to the American Nurses Association (ANA), and on multiple committees including Government Affairs and the Advanced Practice Council.

            She has received numerous awards such as the Living Legacy Award from Samford University, the Alabama Lamplighter Award from the Alabama League for Nursing Alabama, the Nurse Practitioner Advocacy Excellence award from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP); Health and Human Services Award from the Women’s Economic Development Council and recently completed the National League for Nursing LEAD Program.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for: Not One More Alabama, SimGHOSTs, The Heart of the Valley YMCA and Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.
