My research interests lie in social cognition, including stereotyping based on health behaviour, as well as intergroup relations and communication in healthcare contexts. My research explores pre- and post-qualification development of health-professional identity, leadership skills, and intergroup communication styles. In particular, I examine the effects of professional identity, intergroup relations and communication in healthcare, including how these factors affect service delivery, and how psycho-education could contribute to the quality of inter-professional relationships and communication practices in the healthcare workforce.
