  • Dr. Fran Vlasses is principal investigator of the HRSA funded I-CARE-PATH project (NEPQR/IPCP ). The project aims to improve the health of individuals with complex, chronic illnesses in suburban Cook County, Illinois, with a transformed model of care using nurse-led interprofessional teams.
  • The project further aims to provide a learning laboratory for health professions students in IPECP. The settings for the grant are a family medicine clinic, school-based health center and a diverse, urban community characterized by poor socio-economic indicators.
  • Dr. Vlasses is co-director of the Institute for Transformative Interprofessional Education, (I-TIE) and Chair of health systems leadership and policy at the Niehoff School of Nursing at Loyola University Chicago.
