Dr. Jimenez serves as the Associate Dean of Assessment and Interprofessional Education (IPE) at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM). She is responsible for administrative oversight and direction of assessment activities and clinical training activities in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education in collaboration with academic deans in medical programs, nursing and allied health and program directors. Dr. Jimenez provides oversight of the office of assessment, examination services, simulation and training center, standardized patient education center and IPE activities for LMU-DCOM.
Dr. Jimenez previously served as the Assistant Provost for Teaching Excellence and Assessment of Learning (TEAL) at Marian University, Indianapolis supporting campus wide assessment and faculty development initiatives including the College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM). She began her work at Marian in 2013 initially serving as the founding Assistant Dean for Educational Development in MU-COM. In April 2017, Dr. Jimenez was inducted into the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME). In April 2015, Dr. Jimenez was recognized by AACOM's Society for Osteopathic Medical Educators (SOME) with the Innovations in Medical Education Award for implementation of automated Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) lab practical assessments to track student performance in the psychomotor learning domain. She is a 2013 co-recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation's Humanism in Medicine grant resulting in her co-founding the MU-COM Meaningful Medicine Mentoring Program in August 2014. Dr. Jimenez has received additional recognition for service and management during her career and has presented her work at national and international conferences. Her dissertation research focused on curricular improvement and was a study of geriatric content in United States Doctor of Pharmacy degree curricula.
