As Director of the Standardized Patient Program at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, I oversee the administration of all SP Program activities, including case writing, program development, implementation, project design, and evaluation, as well as SP assignment, training, and assessment. I have designed several professional-development workshops for SPs and SP educators, focusing on enhancing verbal and written feedback from SPs to medical students and other trainees--both individual and team-based.
Penn's interprofessional education programs with SPs range from enhancing team communication to patients and family members, to addressing systems issues and emergency preparedness.
