I received my Doctorate in Pharmacy from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012. I then completed a 2-year Pharmaceutical Care Leadership Post-Graduate Residency at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. I am currently a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Kansas (KU) School of Pharmacy and have worked for them since August of 2014. I have been a clinical pharmacist with three different Family Medicine Residency Clinics, I am currently at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) Family Medicine program. I practice in our Interprofessional Teaching Clinic which was created in 2011. It is a student-focused clinic where teams of learners from Dietetics/Nutrition, Medicine, Pharmacy, Psychology, and ocassionaly Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy, meet with the patient and develop a comprehensive care plan together. In 2021 I became the Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) for the KU School of Pharmacy, which entails oversight of our entire IPE curriculum. I am involved with programming and planning of our Institution's three large IPE events. I am interested in assessment of team behaviors and overall team functioning, as well as, patient outcomes related to team-based care. I am currently working on a project focused on structural competency and the impact of the training we provide to our learners. I would love to collaborate on scholarship with other institutions!
