Contact:

ASCLS is the nation’s oldest and largest non-registry professional association representing over 300,000 non-physician laboratory professionals. Over the last 80 years, the ASCLS has contributed much to the profession: in advocacy, standards setting, education (professional and continuing), personal and professional development, and much more. The Society’s primary mission is to enable its members to provide quality services for all consumers through the promotion of professional competence and high standards of practice in laboratory and healthcare settings. Our membership of 8,500 includes clinical laboratory directors, managers, administrators, supervisors, hematologists, immunologists, educators, clinical chemists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, and staff at all levels of practice.

Signature Programs and Activities:

The Annual Meeting is held each year in late July.  In addition to numerous continuing education sessions, the Clinical Lab Expo provides the opportunity to view laboratory technology advances at hundreds of vendor booths.

The Clinical Laboratory Educators' Conference (CLEC) is held in February each year.  This conference is an important annual event for faculty, administrators, directors, advisors and others in clinical laboratory science education.

The Legislative Symposium, a two-day meeting held in March, provides up to the minute information on legislative and regulatory issues impacting the profession.  Attendees also learn about the legislative process and how to present their views on Capitol Hill.  On the second day the attendees visit their legislators' offices.
