Dr. Alice Noquez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing, National University in San Diego, CA. She was the founding Director of the MSN FNP Program which launched in Feb. 2015. She also served as Director, Center of Health Excellence, Interprofessional Education Core and sits on the Integrative Healthcare Core. She is an investigator on the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality, and Retention - Interprofessional Collaborative Practice, $1.5 million HRSA grant. Principal investigator of the grant is Dr. Gloria J. McNeal, Dean, School of Health and Human Services, National University. Additionally Dr. Noquez is the recipient of extramural funding totaling over $500,000. Dr. Noquez completed a Doctorate in Nursing at the University of San Diego where she was named the Dean's Scholar. She earned an MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of San Diego and holds National Board Certification. She is also a Certified Integrative Healthcare Administrator, Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Administrator for Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly. Dr. Noquez has an National University appointment to the Research Council and is a recipient of the Presidential Scholars Award AY 2015/2016. Her research interests include cancer symptom clusters and symptom management, epigenetics, and equine assisted therapy for veterans with PTSD.
