I am Director of the NJ Area Health Education Center and serve as chair of the Interprofessional Education Task Force for the National AHEC Organization. I am also a faculty member in Geriatrics at the NJ Institute for Successful Aging (NJISA) at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. We are current recipients of a Donald W. Reynolds Next Steps grant, which focuses on interprofessional education. We are interested in infusing IPE throughout our undergraduate and post doctoral medical school curricula and into a number of clinical practice sites that can be used for experiential learning. I am particularly interested in building community-based training sites for IPE within our NJ AHEC underserved communities.
