The Arizona State University Center for Advancing Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research, is focused on advancing thinking, research, practice and education tools and strategies for teamwork and collaboration. Teamwork and collaboration – the science and art of working together effectively – are cornerstones for innovation and transforming healthcare and society.
The Center, together with its faculty, student and community partners, is implementing a multi-faceted plan to provide faculty and students with knowledge, tools and strategies to learn and work across professions and settings; to support community partners in designing, improving, and evaluating team-based practices, including high value processes such as care coordination, transitional care, and population-based care; and to enable robust programs of research to increase understanding of team performance and its impact on important health and healthcare outcomes.
