Evaluating Memory Concerns
This educational module designed by CATCH-ON is part of the Basics of Aging program which provides education about aging and older adult care for health care providers, other caregivers, families, and older adults themselves. By the end of this module, learners will be able to: (1) identify common memory changes that occur before families receive a dementia diagnosis; (2) understand the process of getting a dementia diagnosis from a health care team; and (3) identify resources for addressing a family member's ongoing care-related needs. Minimum Competencies in Geriatrics for Medical Students
The American Geriatrics Society's (AGS) Advancing Geriatrics Academic Programs (ADGAP) has released new updated "Minimum Geriatric Competencies for Medical Students." The Minimum Competencies in Geriatrics for Medical Students, updated in 2021, are competencies that the graduating medical student, in the context of a specific older adult patient scenario, must be able to demonstrate, in collaboration with an interprofessional team when appropriate. They are based on the Geriatric 5Ms and adapted from the 2009 Geriatrics Competencies.
Caring for Those Who Care: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Family Caregivers
This toolkit created by the Diverse Elders Coalition (DEC) was created to help professional and voluntary caregivers, providers and a wide array of professionals better understand the unique realities and challenges diverse caregivers face and best practices they can employ to better care for diverse family caregivers, and ultimately, the older adults they care for.
Mobility
This educational module designed by Collaborative Action Team Training for Community Health-Older Adult Network (CATCH-ON) is part of their 4Ms of Age-Friendly Health Care Program. By the end of this module, learners will understand: (1) what mobility means; (2) the benefits of an active life for older adults; (3) problems that happen when adults can no longer move freely; and (4) ways to avoid falls and injuries.
Medication
This educational module is designed byCollaborative Action Team Training for Community Health-Older Adult Network (CATCH-ON) as part of their 4Ms of Age-Friendly Health Care Program. By the end of this module, learners will understand: (1) why older adults are at greater risk for medication-related harms; (2) why older adults who take more than five medications per day need to be particularly careful; (3) medications that are highest risk for older adults; and (4) how to reduce medication-related harm.
Depression
This educational module is designed by Collaborative Action Team Training for Community Health-Older Adult Network (CATCH-ON) is part of the 4Ms of Age-Friendly Health Care program. By the end of this module, learners will understand: (1) symptoms of different kinds of depression; (2) how common depression is; (3) risks for depression and suicide; and (4) treatment options for depression in older adults.
Dementia

By the end of this module, learners will understand: (1) what dementia is; (2) how dementia is different than just "getting older"; (3) how the brain works; (4) the kinds of memory problems people with dementia have; and (5) how to talk with someone who has dementia.
Delirium

By the end of this module, learners will understand: (1) what delirium is; (2) three types of delirium; (3) how delirium may look different in older versus younger adults; and (4) how to prevent and manage delirium.
Caregiving
