This provides information on an in-person workship for training dementia basics to airport staff. A downloadable presetation in pdf format is provided. Workshop objectives: 1) learn how to enhance airport customer experience and reduce travel disruption for all; 2) learn about symptoms of dementia and how they might manifest during travel; and 3) learn positive ways to interact and problem solve with a traveler with dementia. The workshop was developed by members of the Dementia-Friendly Airports Working Group (DFAWG) and the Roseville Alzheimer’s & Dementia Community Action Team (Rsvl A/D) at the request of the Metropolitan Airports Commission Customer Experience team (MSP International Airport).
