Submitted by Minnesota North... on Apr 24, 2023 - 5:24pm CDT
This presentation (58:50 minutes) by Susan McCurry discusses how to maximize the quality of life across the cognitive continuum of care for older adults. By the end of this presentation, learners should be able to: (1) explain the continuum of neurocognitive aging; (2) describe research evidence for the effects of sleep, physical activity, and pleasant events for improving quality of life across the continuum of cognitive aging; and (3) apply specific strategies for engaging older clients at all stages of cognitive function in interventions to improve sleep, maintain physical activity, and find meaning and joy in life. Slides are also available for download.
