This activity created by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is designed to educate healthcare providers with the most up-to-date information on racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19. The target audience includes all healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals who would like to learn about racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19 and how it pertains to their respective profession. By the end of this activity, learners should be able to: (1) Describe current trends in COVID-19 disparities research, as well as future directions in research and practice; (2) Identify national, publicly available resources for COVID-19 data; and (3) Discuss racial/ethnic disparities in COVID-19 outcomes and predictors of COVID-19 infection and severity. Continuing education credits are available upon completion.
