This online course from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine Division of Continuing Medical Education is designed to improve the screening of delirium in the emergency department using concise tools that have high sensitivity and specificity. This course introduces a system-based screening (bCAM) that is supported by evidence in the emergency department. The course includes a pre-test, a presentation, videos, and a post-test. Target audiences include nurse practitioners, physicians, and physician assistants with specialties in emergency medicine. Continuing education credits for physicians and non-physicians are available.
