Academic programs interested in implementing interprofessional education in their communication sciences and disorders curricula can learn about a successful model from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

In 'Interprofessional Endeavors at MGH Institute of Health Professions: Our Path and Some Lessons Learned' two faculty members from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at MGH Institute of Health Professions—Gregory Lof, professor and chair, and clinical instructor Rebecca Santos Inzana—share how MGH prepares students to become high-performing members of interprofessional teams.

The article describes how the program started and what it includes. Lof and Inzana also share suggestions and insights for academic and clinical programs interested in developing and implementing IPE as part of their curricula.
