Interprofessional Education Summit: Design Thinking for People Centered Care: An Interprofessional Perspective

Join some of the most thoughtful and creative minds in healthcare at the 2016 Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Interprofessional Education Summit as they address these issues from a human centered approach.  By keeping people at the center of health, great and meaningful change can take place.  This year’s summit will include keynote addresses, breakout talks, and poster sessions. 

Objectives: 

Upon conclusion of the summit, attendees will be better able to: 

  • Recognize, describe and practice Design Thinking Concepts
  • Describe the value of a dynamic interprofessional communication with patients to positively influence health care outcomes
  • Identify concepts at the intersection of clinical practice and education for design transformation

 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and St. Catherine University. The Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Mayo Clinic College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

St. Catherine University is a continuing Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). CDR credentialed Practitioners will receive 5.5 Continuing Professional Education units (CPEUs) for completion of this activity.

This activity has been submitted to WNA CEAP for approval to award contact hours. Wisconsin Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
