National League for Nursing Leadership Conference

Leading through collaboration changes the culture of work environments; groups support individuals to take up their authority to lead, depending on the situation. This approach is the foundation for collaborative practice, the goal of interprofessional education.

Join us to engage in critical conversations about the challenges and rewards of leading collaborative practices among your faculty and with colleagues in the practice environment:

  • How is collaborative practice created among groups utilizing situational leadership, networking and valuing diversity of thinking?

  • What team approach is needed to build a collaborative culture?

Conference participants will learn how collaborative leadership builds collaborative environments that foster interprofessional practice.

Objectives

  • Identify how collaborative leadership creates a positive environment for interprofessional education.

  • Explore strategies to:

    • Encourage and support collaborative behavior.

    • Implement situational decision-making.

    • Value diverse thinking to foster collaborative practice.
