Faculty from the Division of Geriatrics at the University of California San Diego Medical School and the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System developed a Geriatrics Escape Room to improve resident exposure to geriatric medicine, introduce the 4Ms Framework of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, and increase resident interest in the specialty. This article describes the implementation of this teaching strategy and its evaluation in internal medicine residents. Supplemental materials provide puzzle instructions with materials used, surveys, and 4Ms care forms. This article can be accessed through a health science library or a membership with the American Geriatrics Society.
