This presentation (17:14 minutes) given by Dr. Marti Echols, Dean of the College of Biomedical Sciences at Larkin University, discusses sexuality in later life. By the end of this lecture, learners should be able to: (1) understand definitions of sexual behavior and become aware of the changing role of sexuality in aging; (2) understand essential considerations of healthcare provider in the role of sexual health of elderly patients; (3) examine models for sexual history taking in the clinical environment; and (4) provide framework for treatment of identified sexual concerns.
