Rational Prescribing in Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias
This lecture (1:16:27 minutes) by Dr. Zachary Marcum, Assistant Professor at UW School of Pharmacy, is part of the Northwest Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Center's 2021 Winter Lecture series and discusses prescribing in Alzheimer's Disease as well as related dementias. By the end of this lecture, learners should be able to: (1) identify high-risk medications in older adults with dementia; (2) describe strategies to reduce medication-related harm in older adults with dementia; and (3) suggest resources to colleagues, patients, and caregivers for safe medication use in older adults with dementia.
