These multidisciplinary competencies are designed for the care of older adults at the completion of entry-level health professional degrees. They focus on the unique characteristics and needs of older adults with an emphasis on ensuring person‐centered and directed care that supports the dignity, autonomy, and rights of each older person. The domains focused on throughout these competencies include: Health Promotion and Safety, Evaluation and Assessment, Care Planning and Coordination Across the Care Spectrum, Interdisciplinary and Team Care, Caregiver Support, and Healthcare Systems and Benefits.
