Fireside Chats: Caregiver Support: National Focus, Local Implementation
Submitted by Minnesota North... on Apr 12, 2023 - 4:00pm CDT
This presentation (59:16 minutes) given by Kate Nederostek discusses caregiver support. In this lecture, caregiver is defined as anyone who has a significant personal relationship and provides unpaid care and support to those who are aging, chronically ill, or those who have a physical or intellectual disability. By the end of the lecture, learners should be able to: (1) understand why it is important to support family caregivers; (2) review legislative progress on behalf of family caregivers; (3) discuss what is happening in Utah; and (4) understand the role you play in setting caregivers up for success by connecting them to resources/supports. Slides are available for download. (Presentation starts at 4:45 minutes.)
