This webinar (57:51 minutes) discusses advancing equity for caregivers in communities and the importance of equity, addressing the dual challenges around COVID-19, and improving brain health. There are five sections included in this webinar. Sarah Lenz Lock discusses the risk factors and disparities of COVID-19 and brain health. Lauren J. Parker talks with Vanessa Brown to learn about her experience of being a caregiver during COVID-19, specifically to a patient with dementia. Jasmine Nakayama discusses vaccinations and how to reinforce confidence in COVID-19 vaccines. Maria Mora Pinzon discusses how to partner with those who are trusted messengers to deliver accurate health information through social media. Lastly, Eva M. Vivian discusses the African American Health Network of Dane County which is a local organization that consists of health care professionals and community leaders with a mission to improve the health and well-being of African Americans.
