York WRI 2016 Interprofessional Conference Experience - Innovations in Interprofessional Collaboration: Individual, Community, and Global Engagement

Overview: The purpose of this conference is to accentuate how a holistic environment promotes true partnerships and advances interprofessional education, practice, research and theory inclusive of diverse settings and populations across the lifespan.

Objectives:

At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Identify conceptual models, methods, and assessment processes of interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice that impact and measure outcomes

  • Examine and advance beliefs related to interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice

  • Strengthen and enhance personal commitment to explore and develop the components of interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice

  • Develop a commitment to the promotion of interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice in their own setting

  • Recognize and address barriers and challenges of interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice

  • Design and implement strategies in professional practice to support and advocate interprofessional collaboration, education, and practice
