We are establishing a community based preceptor program and while the IPE competencies are definitely needed and will be incorporated for the preceptors and the learners (probably using these modules), I have also been trying to establish additional outcomes for the learners.

For example, we are specifically working with communty agencies (FQHCs, community resource agencies) and want to be sure the learners gain more than patient focused, clinical skills. Much of the reason for IPE collaboration in these settings relates to policy development, resource creation, use of informatics for program planning, etc.  How do you ensure that the learners are getting the other skills they need in these IPE precepted experiences?

I am currently creating a table of competencies, based on disciplines and then we are looking at a crosswalk which could help us focus for the IPE groups. Would love to hear your thoughts
