Mapping curricular offerings back to IPEC objectives

I am currently working with some of my colleagues to develop a process for mapping curricular and co-curricular course offerings back to the IPEC core competencies. We are interested to know how other schools of pharmacy are implementing IPE activities into the curriculum. Specifically, we would like to know the following:

How do you assess the quality of the IPE programming? (i.e. Do you use a rubric for faculty to evaluate the quality of the IPE program?)
Do/how do you map the IPEC objectives back to IPE programming offered?

IPE Curriculum

Hi Diane,

I'm a member of the IPE Committee at my university . Over the past 5 years, our group comprising representatives from all the health sciences and the social work have coordinated an annual IPE Day activitiy to introduce students to the core competencies of IPE. I also direct a six-week summer pre-health professions program that has IPE as a main component. In this program, I have developed curriculum to include introduction to IPE lecture and clinical simulation rotations. Currently, our committee is working to establish an IPE Center at the University and would interested in learning about IPE curriculum that has been implemented at other schools.

Curriculum back to IPE objectives

Hi Diane,

I'm the IPE coordinator at our university and have a core group of colleagues that I'm working with on this and we do have faculty from the college of pharmacy. We're trying to do something similar and currently looking at adapting the ICAR as a rubric. I also have a course that's aligned with the IPE objectives and would love to know what you and your colleagues have done.
