I have been involved in interprofessional education since the inception of CT's Urban Service Track about 10 years ago. This program is hilited in the IPEC Competencies as a model for service learning in the US. I am core dental faculty with UST and also am a team member on a HRSA funded nursing training grant bring oral health awareness to the entire healthcare team doing in home comprehensive geriatrics assessments to reduce emergency room admission for older adults.  
I also teach special needs and geriatric dentistry as well as oral medicine and have approximately 18 years direct clinical expereince with patients in long term care setttings.
