Allysia is a strong advocate for innovation and change in health care. She is passionate about leadership, social determinants of health for underserved populations, care equality, and diversity. Allysia has partnered across many disciplines in her organization to increase quality of care, patient satisfaction and team member engagement. She has been influential in many projects including: simulation as a continuing education strategy, redefining the role and scope of triage assessment areas, improvement of patient throughput, creating a zero diverts environment in obstetrics, prevention of workplace violence and skill development for nursing assistants. Allysia has demonstrated effective leadership in onboarding, developing and supporting a team of 230+ nurses, nursing assistants and health unit coordinators.
