Eligible RNs throughout the country, with a focus on rural and underserved areas as well as areas that may not be rural and underserved but do not have SANEs available to provide care.
A synopsis is what our program offers as part of the ANE-SANE grant:
- a scholarship to nurses to complete the SANE Adult/Adolescent didactic course and become proficient in the "normal" pelvic exam, or to nurses who have already completed the didactic course and pelvic exam training.
- A 2-day hands on clinical preceptor course where students refresh SANE clinical skills on Day 1 and conduct actual exams with standardized patients on Day 2.
- Provide online mentoring support via ZOOM Meeting when nurses goes back to their cllinical sites.
- Monthly online continuing education (1-hour).
- Quarterly clinical review (case or peer review?)
- Refresher course when ready to take a certification exam.
- Support for taking a certification exam (fees).
