I am a 2005 alumnus of Slippery Rock University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Recreational Therapy, also completing minors in Gerontology, Aquatics, and Psychology. In 2008 I graduated from East Carolina University with a Master's in Recreational Therapy Administration and a certificate in Aquatic Therapy. I have experience working in various settings, both as a Recreational Therapist (RT) and a manager. Settings include physical rehabilitation (specifically traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation), long term care, a community based camp for children and adults with disabilities, and PACE programs. As a professional member of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association I am also the co-chair of the Standards of Practice Committee and an active member of the Peg Connolly Scholarship Committee.  Currently, I am working to obtain my Ph.D. from Clemson University. My research focus is clincial supervision and leadership, and competency outcomes.
