Our National Center team, AIHC committees, and many dedicated national advisors and partners are deep into planning for Nexus Summit 2021. We are excited to report that this year has set a new record for total conference submissions, including a robust response to our brand-new Clinical Lightening Talks. We are indebted to our national team of peer reviewers, who are hard at work right now. Our AIHC Committees are working to reprise highly rated content while creating additional opportunities to learn with, from, and about each other. AHIC continues to build on the success of the Nexus Summit Student Track including Student Poster Session. Highly successful features including workshops from the AIHC Scholarship Committee and AIHC Awards will be back as well.

Nexus Summit 2021 will be organized across the National Center’s five Strategic Imperatives, developed based on what we learned from our Nexus Summit 2020 participants and many conversations with AIHC members, individuals, and organizational partners over the past year.

• Tuesday September 14: Building Capacity to Advance Interprofessional Practice and Education

• Monday September 27: Designing Curriculum with Community in the Nexus

• Wednesday September 29: Engaging Individuals, Families and Communities in the Nexus for What Matters Most to Them

• Tuesday October 5: Addressing Racism and Caste within the Health Care Team

• Thursday October 7: Generating New Knowledge to Improve Outcomes

Each day will feature an interactive and engaging plenary with additional opportunities to engage in seminars, Lightning Talks, and Conversation Cafes. As we emerge from (hopefully) the worst of the pandemic, Nexus Summit 2021 will focus on action as together, we “rebuild smarter”. Of course, each day will include important content contributed by you, the members of our interprofessional practice and education community!

Even though Nexus Summit 2021 remains virtual, this year also sees the return of the very successful Nexus Fair and the Conversation Cafés, which have been instrumental in defining and jump-starting important actions.
