Nexus Summit 2021 Blog

Nexus Summit 2021 is shaping up to be a richly curated opportunity for you to engage in meaningful conversations based upon your input by sharing your work and ideas.  We are creating an experience designed for action to improve health through interprofessional learning at the Nexus of practice and education. Together, we will learn with, from and about each other in dialogue as we work to shape how practice, education and research is designed to improve health for individuals, families, and populations within communities.  We will tackle big topics and set audacious goals for interprofessional practice and education to address bias on the health care team; engage individuals, families, and communities in co-creation of health care and education; and explore new approaches to measure the impact of our work. In the coming weeks, we will announce an exciting line-up of speakers who will inform our thinking and jumpstart our work together.

We won’t be successful without you! Your innovation and ideas to improve interprofessional practice and education are driving the transformation needed to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.  We all can benefit by learning about how you are:

• reimagining the healthcare team;
• addressing the social determinants of health and health equity;
• partnering with individuals, families and communities to co-create health and education in ways that matter.
• driving health equity in academic, practice and community partnerships.
• supporting the next generation through mentorship and leadership development.

Your work matters! You are making a difference every day by testing and refining how to impact positive change for health. You are learning how to better prepare graduates to have the greatest possible impact on the health of those they serve.
