On November 13-14, 2018, the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education based at the University of Minnesota co-hosted a workshop on “Strengthening the Connection between Health Professions Education and Practice” with the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) Global Forum on Innovation on Health Professions Education. The Workshop Proceedings are now available on the Global Forum website.The NASEM Proceedings join two other recently released reports in collaboration with the National Center, each of which are vital contributions to the practical development of IPE in the United States:
- Health Professions Accreditors Collaborative – National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. Guidance on Developing Quality Interprofessional Education for the Health Professions.
- National Collaborative on Improving Clinical Learning Environments. Achieving the Optimal Interprofessional Clinical Learning Environment.
