There are two options for contributing to the Resource Exchange, uploading a file to the National Center's secure servers for storage or linking to a file that is already stored elsewhere on the Internet.
Uploading files does not give the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education any ownership over your files, you are simply granting permission for the National Center to host files on your behalf. For additional information, see our submission policy.
- To upload a file, click the Select button in the File Upload section of the Contribute to the Resource Exchange page.
- Click the button to choose your file. Once you have located it, the Upload button will begin the upload process. Then click the Next button
- Note that only specific file types are allowed for upload. These are listed in the window. There is also a size limit for files, which will also be listed.
- It is also possible to use this window to link to a YouTube video instead of upload a file, which will then embed a YouTube video on the page. Click the Web tab and paste in the URL to your YouTube video.
- You may be asked to provide additional information for certain types of files like images (A brief text description of the image for instance for visitors who use screen readers)
- After all upload steps have been completed, a thumbnail will appear in the File Upload section indicating your file has been successfully uploaded. Only one file may be uploaded per Resource Exchange contribution.
