Please Join Us for the 7th Annual West Michigan Interprofessional Education Initiative Conference

The theme of this year's Interprofessional Education conference is "Best Practices and Innovations in Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research", with four conference objectives:

• Discuss current, evidence-based, best practices in interprofessional practice, education and research.
• Learn about innovations in interprofessional practice, education and research.
• Identify important research and program evaluation questions related to interprofessional practice and education.
• Describe approaches for integrating best practices into practice and education settings and for evaluating their outcomes.

Call for Abstracts

The West Michigan Interprofessional Education Initiative (WMIPEI) is pleased to invite submission for abstracts for poster and/or podium presentations at its upcoming 7th annual Interprofessional Education conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  WMIPEI is the foremost leader of interprofessional workgroups dedicated to incorporating interprofessional practice with education in West Michigan.

The Interprofessional Education conference is a competitive abstract submission and selection program designed to showcase topics relevant to the conference theme and objectives.  The categories of submittal are reflective of the six champion WMIPEI workgroups.

Submission Deadline:  Midnight, June 27th, 2014 (Eastern Standard Time)

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Abstract Content:  Purpose of presentation, background significance, methodology, results and conclusion.  Each section of the abstract should be clearly identified with a subheading.

Abstract Preparation:  Abstracts should not exceed 350 words.  Margins must be at  least a half inch on left, on right, top and bottom.  The title should be centered in uppercase, and the body of the abstract should be single spaced using 11 point Times New Roman font.  The abstract should fit on one side of one page using the margins defined.

Date:  The call for abstracts closes at midnight (Eastern Standard Time) on June 27th, 2014.  Authors will receive notification of acceptance by July 25th, 2014.  Abstracts that do not adhere to the guidelines and/or are received after the due date may not be reviewed.
