Interprofessional Oral Health Resources for Healthy Aging Month!
September is Healthy Aging Month, giving health professionals the opportunity to recognize the importance of oral health in promoting overall positive health outcomes as we age. Year-round, OHNEP enhances the nursing profession’s interprofessional role in oral health and its links to overall health in both academic and clinical settings. Adopting healthy habits and lifestyle changes - regular exercise, a nutritious diet, improved sleep patterns - are ways we can overcome health physical and mental health challenges that occur with age.
Identifying perceptions through interprofessional education and collaboration in the dental clinic
Investigates perceptions and associated learning outcomes of a dental clinic-based IPE experience between pharmacy and dentistry students. Findings support further development of IPE between pharmacy and dentistry students within a dental clinic but call for the redesign of the activity using a longitudinal approach.

In 2019, the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (National Center) charged the Interprofessional Education Organizational Models Task Force to study the organizational models and structures of US IPE programs using a mixed methodology of quantitative survey and qualitative analysis.
