Join us for a unique virtual learning experience at Nexus Summit 2020

We are excited to invite you to join us at Nexus Summit 2020: More than a Meeting! While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible for us to gather in person, the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education team has worked with experts nationally to prepare a unique and engaging virtual learning experience.

We have had a truly incredible response to this year’s Nexus Summit, with more submissions than ever before. The scope and quality of these submissions reflect the evolution and growth of our field and have allowed us to extend the Summit through creation of 13 Learning Tracks. Seven of these tracks, along with three provocative plenaries, posters, a short course and pre-conference sessions will be offered on August 4-6, 13, and 20. Six tracks will be offered in October 2020.

More Than a Meeting

The National Center’s approach to the virtual Nexus Summit 2020 is the “More Than a Meeting” concept and has five features, described on the website:

  • Theme-based interprofessional learning
  • Deeper learning, facilitated by content experts using reflective, learning guides
  • Create your personal learning experience with “My Summit”
  • Advanced search functions to customize your learning
  • Interprofessional Continuing Education Credit

As we have worked with our national advisory panel to reflect on major themes, issues and ideas reflected in Nexus Summit 2020 programming, we have identified four critical areas of focus to guide our learning together:

  • Interprofessional collaboration
  • Diversity, disparities and equity
  • Patient, families, caregivers, communities, populations
  • Galvanizing Systemic Change

Learn more about questions that we have today about these themes by reading this document. Together, we will explore the implications for our daily work in education and practice, research questions and policy considerations.

We understand and share the challenges and pressures that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on all of our institutions, and the unprecedented constraints on education and clinical care. Now, more than ever, you need top value for your professional development investment. This year’s Nexus Summit will allow you to create your own customized, interactive learning experience beginning in August, extending through the fall, and with access to an archive of over 90 hours of peer-reviewed content.

Even more importantly, it will provide a unique opportunity to network and learn with, from, and about like-minded colleagues from across the United States and beyond. Participants will gain critical insights pertinent across the practice and educational spectrum, with a focus on the nexus of the clinical learning environment. Critical conversations begun at the Nexus Summit 2020 will inform our discipline into the future.

Join us as we learn together and work towards more effective interprofessional practice and education to achieve better health for the individuals, families and caregivers, and communities we serve. Learn more and register today.

We’ll see you on-line in August!
